Chimac Nugs and Kimcheese Fries

Chimac is Korean- inspired restaurant in Dublin.  Medium Nugs + Kimcheese Fries Price- 8euro + 5.75 euro The Nugs were nice and crunchy. Pair with caramel siracha, I was in chicken heaven. On its own, it quite dry. Definitely need the sauce. It was more sweet than spicy. This wasn't a con for me though.  Chimac comes from Korean phrase of fried chicken and beer. I wanted a soju spritz, which they didn't have. Also, I'm a lightweight drinker, don't think I can take on a bottle of soju on my own. So unfortunately, I didn't have this meal according to Korean essences. The Kimcheese Fries were so-so. The cheesy sauce taste similar to American cheese. Definitely have the feel of Asian fusion. Though the fries were still hot and crispy, the cheese sauce already solidified. This was why I feel the fries was a let down. The portion of fries was quite large for a lone soldier. M&S BBQ Beef Jerky

BBQ Beef Jerky bought from Mark and Spencer. Price- around 3 ( forgot the exact amount). Allergen- Soya. I remember having jerky in childhood and loved it. Sadly it's not the same as then. First, not from Asia. Second, not as big slice either.  First impression, it taste kind of similar but missing something. Only when irony aftertaste did I realized it didn't have the sweetness or kick like the Asian jerky.

M&S Biscakes- Nuts for you

It's Valentine Day. A good day to treat myself. What caught my eyes were a Ferrero Rocher-looking treat. I love Ferrero Rocher, so on the impulse, this cupcake entered my basket. It was only when I got home and read it did I realized it's no ordinary cupcake. It got crunchy biscuit base.    Bought from Mark and Spencer. Made in UK. Contain 2 cupcakes. Allergen- dairy, gluten, hazelnuts, egg, and soya. Price: €3 (discounted price) First bite to the top, overwhelming buttercream sweetness. Hazelnuts pieces would have been forgotten if weren't for it's texture contrast with buttercream. I had to peel the paper to find the sponge cake part. The buttercream sweetness was tamed after a bite with the sponge.  Only when the biscuit base entered the blend did I realize what a perfect combination of texture and taste. The biscuit base highlight the chocolate side and vice versa. The crunchy hazelnut and biscuit contrast with the melt in mouth butter cream and soft sponge. For...
