Chimac Nugs and Kimcheese Fries

Chimac is Korean- inspired restaurant in Dublin.

Medium Nugs + Kimcheese Fries

Price- 8euro + 5.75 euro

The Nugs were nice and crunchy. Pair with caramel siracha, I was in chicken heaven. On its own, it quite dry. Definitely need the sauce. It was more sweet than spicy. This wasn't a con for me though.

Chimac comes from Korean phrase of fried chicken and beer. I wanted a soju spritz, which they didn't have. Also, I'm a lightweight drinker, don't think I can take on a bottle of soju on my own. So unfortunately, I didn't have this meal according to Korean essences.

The Kimcheese Fries were so-so. The cheesy sauce taste similar to American cheese. Definitely have the feel of Asian fusion. Though the fries were still hot and crispy, the cheese sauce already solidified. This was why I feel the fries was a let down. The portion of fries was quite large for a lone soldier. So I recommend those with small appetite like me to get friends to join. It's definitely a sharing side.

Kakilang- Souffle Pancake

Been wanting to try this since forever. 🤤 And there's no better day than a sunny Pancake Tuesday to try it. (Sunny days feel rare in wintry Ireland.) Souffle Pancake  Kakilang, Dublin Price- 8euro Wait time- 40mins (if lucky, maybe 20mins) Option:  ✅Cheesy foam+ berries      Maple syrup + fruit/bacon/butter      Cookie + cream (Pancake Tuesday special) Look at its beauty. So cute 🥰 I couldn't wait to dig in until the point of forgetting to check if it jiggle 😂. After cutting it, it still jiggle slightly. I probably destabilise its ability to jiggle. The taste? Just three words. Soft, delicate, & sweet. Though it look thick in size, it's so soft like a sponge cake. Actually, softer and lighter than sponge cake. Even the sweetness is similar to sponge cake, a gentle sweetness. With the foamy cheese and fruit, it highlights and adds to the delicate sweetness. I wish I could have this as breakfast everyday. Sadly, it's too time consuming ...

Umai - Tonkotsu Darkness Ramen & Tempura Seafood Roll

A new restaurant opened near where I worked. Umai, a Japanese Cuisine 😍  I tried it on two different occasions. They got seven options for ramen. A colleague recommended Tonkotsu ramen. So I got Tonkotsu Darkness, which only differ by the addition of black garlic oil.  Price: 13.95 euro Wait time: under 10 mins Looks delicious 😋 First taste, the soup. Oh my, so creamy and salty. There's a sweet nutty aftertaste. Then the noodle. So soft, my teeth cut it like butter. The noodle doesn't grasp on some of the soup flavor. The soy bamboo, beansprouts, and scallions add to the flavor and texture. The thing that looks like fried onions weren't noticeable in each bite. From the first impression, there aren't a lot of pork chashu. Actually, there were several. From what I remember at least six pieces with varying thickness. The Pak choi amount seem pitiful when compared to it, just three.  Overall, it's a comfort food. Not something I would crave when compared to my love ...

Sprezzatura - Arancini & Pappardelle Beef Cheek

Price: 12.50 euro (lunch deal+with soft drink) Arancini arrived quickly. This tapas had been tempting me since I saw it on Instagram. Oh, what a comfort food. It's a rice with nearly undetectable cheese center. The crust ❤️ perfection. The sauce was goes hand-in-hand with it. The salt adds a wow feeling. It fit in between the tangy tomato sauce and the gentle cheese.  Just as I polished off the Arancini, my pasta timely arrived with its cheese on the side. What excellent service they have here.  I can smell the beefiness. And look at the portion of it. I can forget about dessert. The first bite, pasta was al dente. First time I had pasta this al dente. Definitely a new world for me since all the pasta I made or bought were never like this. Now I understood what they meant by al dente. The beef cheek remind me of stew beef my mum make. The beef natural flavour is the highlight. There were two bits that were gelatinous. Love it. I wouldn't mind asking for more of those bi...
